對於I/O模組和現場設備之間的接線，可以使用訊號電纜介面適配器或壓緊端子塊。使用者提供的MIL電纜可與MIL電纜連接器蓋一起使用。對於訊號介面適配器，使用專用訊號電纜連接端子板或繼電器板。有一個選項可以防止錯誤插入I/O模組。必須分別為I/O模組和訊號電纜指定此機制的選項代碼。 I/O模組和訊號介面適配器是成套購買的。壓緊端子可以直接連接到現場設備。訊號電纜介面適配器可以透過端子板連接到現場設備。壓緊端端子有兩種類型：單一冗餘配置型和雙冗餘配置型。 I/O模組可在端子塊上實現雙冗餘配置。 MIL電纜可以直接連接到沒有端子塊的I/O模組。此電纜作為選件提供給客戶。為了防止其與 I/O 模組斷開連接，可使用電纜連接器蓋 (SCCC01 和 SCCC02) 與 MIL 電纜一起使用。
