    5466-355 是伍德沃德開發的遠端機箱收發器。遠端 XCVR 模組僅適用於 CPU 68040 系統。遠端 XCVR 模組透過電纜與主 XCVR 模組接收和發送控制、資料和位址資訊。此模組必須安裝在連接到主機箱的每個遠端 I/O 機箱中。遠端 XCVR 模組連接到機箱的 VME 匯流排。該系統採用平行接口，其特點是使用高速差分線路驅動器，可在 VME 傳輸速率下無縫運作。這種配置可確保系統組件之間有效快速地傳輸數據，最大限度地減少訊號衰減和電磁幹擾。與此介面配合使用，系統的電纜連接透過整合的 100 針金屬外殼 Micro-D 連接器建立，每個模組分配兩個連接器。這種連接器設計不僅確保了連接穩固可靠，而且還簡化了通信，從而提高了系統的整體可靠性和性能。

    特徵
    遠端收發器模組的匯流排接收器/驅動器與VME匯流排通信，交換控制、資料和位址資訊。如果需要存取該底盤，底盤解碼器將啟動該底盤遠端收發器模組的接收器/驅動器，以接收或發送訊息。
